Katy Perry fed up with fans pitting female singers against each other: ‘We don’t see Niall Horan and Shawn Mendes fighting’

Katy Perry has voiced her frustration over constantly being pitted against other female singers by fans and she’s not here for it.

The Roar hit-maker, 35, pointed out that male stars in the music biz are never made to compete, but for her, she gets comments every single day comparing her to say the likes of Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga… the list goes on.

Appearing on Zane Lowe’s Apple Music podcast, Katy, who is pregnant with her first child, pointed out the double standards and suggested that a male singer’s Twitter comments probably don’t look anything like hers.

She said: ‘We never see Niall Horan and Shawn Mendes fighting, you don’t read about Ed Sheeran… and Justin Bieber fighting, right?
