Former Gladiators star Warren Furman, who took on the persona of Ace during his stint on the original gameshow, was engaged to glamour model Katie Price for two years.

But now the former bodybuilder, 51, has done a complete career U-turn as he's ditched his 90s alter ego to become a vicar. This summer, the former hunk, who battled contestants in the hit game show in the 1990s, will be ordained as a Church of England cleric after becoming "a Gladiator for God." Warren also had a whirlwind relationship with Katie, 45, in the late 1990s and they were engaged for two years after he got down on one knee in 1997.

Katie and Warren called it quits after he accused her of cheating on him with Michael Schumacher's brother Ralf, who was also a Formula 1 driver.

Now as Gladiators is set to make it's highly-anticipated return to TV in an exciting revival on Saturday, Warren has opened up about how his life is a far cry from his on-screen bodybuilding days.The former construction manager told The Sun: "I'm now fighting the good fight and I've become a Gladiator for God." Warren told the publication that he will be ordained in London's St Paul's Cathedral alongside his wife Dionne, who is swapping her lifestyle as an air hostess to become a vicar too.
