The pair's connection started when Katie reached out on Instagram after reading about the former Married at First Sight star—real name John Joe—and his health condition.This led to a coffee date and eventually a budding romance.
Intriguingly, Katie disclosed that JJ had previously tried to get in touch with her, but she hadn't noticed his message according to reports in the Mirror.They decided to proceed "slowly" with their relationship starting from February.
Speaking to Woman's Own, Katie expressed that she wasn't looking for love when JJ came into her life.She commented: "I'd read in the paper that he'd got diabetes.
