Katie Price has hit back at allegations that she "misused" a blue disabled parking badge. The 46-year-old star is currently starring in a pantomime production of Cinderella at Northwich Memorial Court, alongside her good friend Kerry Katona. The show opened earlier this month and is due to wrap up on Tuesday night (31 December).
Katie was spotted arriving at the venue on Sunday with her partner JJ Slater, 32. Photos published by The Sun on Monday (30 December) showed the former Married at First Sight star arriving with a hooded figure. The publication claimed that Katie could face a £1,000 fine for displaying a blue disabled badge, despite her son Harvey Price, 22, who has been diagnosed with several conditions including Prader–Willi syndrome, reportedly not being present.
It's alleged that Katie and JJ parked a Nissan on the pavement, blocking the walkway. According to the Government website, it's a criminal offence in England to "misuse" the badge, which could result in a £1,000 fine and confiscation of the badge.
OK! has approached Katie's representative for comment. The guidance also states that people should not park "where it would endanger, inconvenience or obstruct pedestrians or other road users", including parking on a pavement, "unless signs permit it", reports the Mirror.
