Katie Piper’s acid attacker is on the run from police following his recall to prison after he breached the conditions of his licence.

Katie, 38, suffered the horrific acid attack carried out by Stefan Sylvestre in 2008 in Golders Green, North London, under the orders of her ex boyfriend, and was subsequently left with severe facial and bodily burns.

Sylvestre, who was 19 at the time, was sentenced to life with a minimum of six years. His application for eligible parole in 2015 was later blocked after he was deemed unfit for release.

In 2020, parole for Sylvestre was granted, though he now faces more jail time after going missing while on licence. The Mirror has reported that Sylvestre went on the run from police during the process of being recalled to prison, breaching his conditions.
