Katie Cassidy is sharing the true details behind initially getting fired from Arrow. The 38-year-old actress, who played Laurel Lance in the series, made an appearance on Michael Rosenbaum‘s Inside of You podcast.

During the appearance, she discussed getting the official news back in October of 2015 that she was being let go from The CW series after four seasons. Please, can we get on a call tomorrow?’ He said, ‘Wow, you’re really intuitive. I’ll call you tomorrow.’” The next day, while on a call with Marc and fellow Arrowverse EPs Greg Belanti and Andrew Kreisberg, “Marc said, ‘Listen, unfortunately I have to tell you you’re the one that’s in the grave.’” Katie said she felt “angry at first” and “emotional.” As for why her character was picked as tribute, Katie said: “I have theories…I think it was political.” Katie also said her “only anger moment” was on the phone call, when she said to the EPs, “I just have to say I feel
