Kate Middleton will one day lose her Duchess of Cambridge title, following changes in the ranks of the royal family along with the line of succession.The mum-of-three, who today broke her silence on the birth of her new niece, Lilibet, has held her Duchess of Cambridge title for just over a decade after she married Prince William in April 2011.

Since the pair’s lavish ceremony at Westminster Abbey, Kate has been referred to as the Duchess of Cambridge and she has performed all her royal duties in line with the high-flying title.

However, that will change when her husband, the Duke of Cambridge, becomes second in line to the throne. And that could be sooner than expected, amid rumours the Queen is preparing her son Prince Charles to become.
