Kate Middleton is one of the most famous women in the world but behind closed doors, she’s known as something different. The Princess of Wales is known by the shortened version of her moniker but nearly all of the other members of the Royal Family, including her husband the Prince of Wales, call her Catherine.
But according to reports in the Mirror, Kate’s real name once nearly caused a clash with King Charles and Queen Camilla, who are reported to have wanted the future Queen to change the spelling.
Harry opened up about the issue in his tell-all memoir Spare, released earlier this year, when he claimed Charles and Camilla had at one point wanted Kate to spell her name with a K instead of a C.
Harry claimed this was because there were already two royal cyphers with C in them - for Charles and Camilla - and they didn’t think there should be another.
