At her annual Christmas carol service, Kate Middleton is set to deliver an incredibly touching Christmas message and those gathered at Westminster Abbey will hear the Princess describing love as "the greatest gift we can receive".
Kate has written a letter for the 1,600 Westminster Abbey carol goers, including members of the Royal Family, telling them “Love is the light that can shine bright, even in our darkest times”.
Her thoughtful words, featured with the order of service for the event on Friday, will reflect on the overarching theme of the event: "This Carol Service is a heartfelt celebration of every one of you, and a reminder that at Christmas, and throughout the year, we must all shine for each other.
Because in times of joy and sadness, we are all each other’s light." This past year has seen Kate step back into public life after her cancer diagnosis and treatment, while King Charles is still continuing with his treatment. The service aims to provide a moment of reflection about the importance of loved ones, especially during difficult times.
