Kate, the Princess of Wales, is set to grace the men's singles final at Wimbledon on Sunday, as confirmed by Kensington Palace.
Officials from the Wimbledon tennis tournament have been saying that they were 'hopeful' Kate, who is undergoing chemotherapy treatment for cancer, would be able to return to present trophies after Sunday's final.
As Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Kate Middleton will now attend the Gentlemen’s Singles Final of The Championships.
It comes days after Wimbledon said they were working on ‘backup plans’ in case the Princess was unable to attend. Royal enthusiasts have been eagerly anticipating her presence at the 2024 tournament, which started last week.
