The Princess of Wales was overlooked for the 2024 Person of the Year title by Time Magazine, which was awarded to President-Elect Donald Trump on Thursday.The 78-year-old had previously received the same honour in 2016.

Despite her recent public appearances, including her fourth Together At Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey, the Princess didn't clinch the title.Time Magazine explained that the award goes to the individual who has made the most significant impact, whether positive or negative, over the past year.

Even though she took a step back from royal duties for most of the year due to her cancer diagnosis in March, Kate has recently returned to public life, making her first appearance of 2024 at the Trooping the Colour in June.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams believed that Kate would have been a worthy recipient of the Time accolade, praising her "charm, poise and a wonderful flair for fashion, the ideal consort for our future king." This time last year, the 42 year old was seen with her family on Christmas Day, only to undergo abdominal surgery weeks later.
