The Princess of Wales has urged people to support one another, saying we "must all shine for each other" in a heartfelt Christmas message.

Kate Middleton, who has had a challenging year due to health issues and preventative chemotherapy treatment, hosted her annual Together At Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey.The event, which has already taken place, will be broadcast on television tonight, Tuesday December 24.

In a clip shared ahead of the programme, Kate expressed her gratitude to those who help others, stating: "Across the United Kingdom, there are so many inspiring people embracing those in need. "She continued, "This carol service is a heartfelt celebration of everyone of you and a reminder that at Christmas, and throughout the year, we must all shine for each other.

Because in times of joy and sadness, we are all each other's light.
