Kate Middleton's uncle Gary Goldsmith has become the first family member to speak out on the controversy surrounding a recent picture of her, which many claim has been digitally altered.
The businessman, 57, who is fresh from a stint on Celebrity Big Brother, begged fans to 'leave it alone' as he discussed the picture during an appearance on Good Morning Britain.The snap was shared by Kate and William on Mother's Day, in her first address to the public since undergoing a 'planned abdominal surgery' in January.
However, it was pulled by photo agencies just hours later, over worries that it had been altered, with many fans claiming to spot signs of photoshop too.
As host Susanna Reid grilled Gary, who is the brother of Kate's mother Carole, on the picture, she asked: "Does anything about it strike you as odd?" Denying that any wrongdoing would be on the family's part, he replied: "The smiles on faces said it all for me, I thought it was beautiful. "The family wouldn't be the ones to do any touch ups, so if that's gone through some filter before it's gone out to the wider world.
