Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.
He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.
This week marked the last of the royal garden parties of 2022 and for her final visit Kate Middleton looked incredible in a mint dress with long puff sleeves.
The Duchess of Cambridge, 40, paired her ensemble with a stunning matching hat that royal fans think could be a nod to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Her pastel outfit was complete with a pair of suede Jimmy Choo heeled pumps and a matching clutch bag. She last wore the dress at the 50th Anniversary of Prince Charles’ Investiture in 2019, but eagle-eyed royalists would be able to recognise her hat.
The stunning green Philip Treacy fascinator featured a large floral applique on one side, which was similar to the one Kate wore to the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in 2018.That hat to celebrate the couple’s happy day that Kate wore was also by Philip Treacy and came in white with cream roses.
