Kate Middleton has the highest valued engagement ring compared to her royal counter parts, according to latest reports.The Duchess of Cambridge, who turned 40 this month, was proposed to by Prince William back in 2010, and money was clearly no option as he popped the question with a ring valued at £300,000.
Kate's ring, which is a 12ct oval-cut Ceylon sapphire surrounded by 14 solitaire diamonds, originally belonged to her mother-in-law, Princess Diana.The inherited ring has the largest carat stone compared to other royal's engagement rings, making Kate's the most valuable ring within the royal family.

Following on from Kate, the second highest value engagement ring belongs to wife of Prince Charles, Camilla Parker-Bowles.The 74-year-old Princess of Wales engagement ring is a 5ct emerald-cut diamond surrounded by three diamond baguettes, and has been estimated to be worth £212,000.
