Kate Middleton's brother cancels his anniversary celebrations as mark of respect to Queen
ok.co.ukKate Middleton's brother James has decided against celebrating his first wedding anniversary to Alizée Thevenet as a mark of respect to the late Queen, who died aged 96 on Thursday, 8 September.
James, 35, instead posted a sweet photograph of the then Princess Elizabeth on her wedding day to Prince Phillip, when she was just 21 and he was 26.
Alongside the snap, the brother of the Princess of Wales wrote: "Today is our 1st wedding anniversary, however it doesn’t seem right to celebrate while mourning the loss of Queen Elizabeth II. "Instead I’m sharing a photo of the marriage of the Queen & the Duke of Edinburgh on their wedding 74 years ago." Addressing his wife, he went on: "To my darling Alizee I look forward to sharing as many with you in our lifetime".
