From Queen Camilla who will be breaking tradition by asking her grandchildren to hold the canopy over her as she is anointed with holy oil to Prince George’s key Pages of Honour role, The Princess of Wales has also been the centre of attention recently, most notably after Royal Expert Tessa Dunlop compared her to Queen Mary.
In an exclusive interview with OK! the historian opened up about the similarities between the two, explaining how Kate is almost mirroring the late Queen in terms of how she handled entering the royal family and being a “timeless” member.
Plus, how she’s become a “continuity figure” to not just the British public, but around the world as well. “If you want to take an example [of someone] that was really successful and important to the Royal family would be Queen Mary - the late Queen's grandmother,” Tessa said. “She was a pretty impoverished, pointless royal.
