Kate Middleton, a well-known advocate for mental health issues, has a heart-wrenching link to a rugby-loving teenager who revealed her suicide plan to her GP before tragically taking her own life.The Duchess of Cambridge shares a connection with Isobelle Phipps, 17, who sadly passed away at her parents' home in Crowthorne, Berkshire, on April 19, 2023, after battling depression.

Interestingly, Isobelle had previously worn earrings that were later gifted to the Royal.These earrings were given to Kate by Isobelle's mother, Sarah Renton, during an emotional encounter when the Duchess visited the teen's rugby club in Maidenhead as part of a charity appeal last year.

Mrs Renton shared Isobelle's story, known as Issy, with Kate and presented her with the earrings, crafted by a family friend.

Kate promised to wear the jewellery at a future date in honour of Isobelle.True to her word, Kate was spotted wearing them during an engagement in Birmingham with Prince William, which coincided with World Mental Health Day on October 10 last year.The Royal couple hosted 'Exploring our Emotional Worlds', a forum aimed at highlighting the significance of fostering positive relationships among young people.
