Kate Middleton lets out a big laugh while getting her very own leek pinned on her coat during the St. David’s Day celebration events in Windsor, England on Wednesday (March 1).
The Princess of Wales joined her husband, William, Prince of Wales, for the parade and celebratory events.
St. David’s Day is a national day of celebration for Wales and the leeks are symbolic for the members of the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards.
The legend around the leek is that a 7th century king of Gwynedd, Cadwaladr had ordered his men to wear the vegetable on their armor, as to help them easily identify their unit from their enemies during battle.
