took her niece and nephew to check out a Lakers game in Los Angeles—and just like her character character , Hudson wasn't playing around when it came to her game day 'fit.While her niece, Rio Hudson, was decked out in Lakers gear and unlaced Timberlands, Hudson put a casual spin on Isla's game-day wardrobe in a brown corduroy set featuring an oversized shirt jacket and wide-leg pants.Although Hudson's style is hardly as done up as her on-screen counterpart, she embraced the Netflix series' “” styling by forgoing sportswear in favor of the matching set, which she further elevated with a pair of black boots and Chanel purse.
To round out the look, Hudson opted for a glowy but minimal makeup and pulled her hair into a loose ponytail.Hudson's character in Running Point is on Lakers owner Jeanie Buss, who is also an executive producer on the Mindy Kaling comedy series.
Of course, Buss attended her team's face-off against the Denver Nugget's and made a point to pose with Hudson during the game.Though Isla and Buss may both come from a basketball dynasty, their outfits are completely different. “Jeanie’s a really sort of casual, laid-back California girl, and Isla’s version of it was just very done,” costume designer Salvador Pérez Jr.
