Hudson, who has been nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance as Kazu "Zu" Gamble, said she felt the backlash was an "important dialogue," but noted the intended message of the film was expressed. "I think when people see the film, they will see the amount of love and sensitivity that was put into it," Huson told Kimmel.
