She added her parents were visiting him for the first time since his horrific coronavirus battle, and she wanted to get her kids ready in time when the disaster occured.
Her co host Ben Shephard said: "I am thrilled you are here you are safe... Kate had a blowout on the M20, your back tyre actually exploded." Kate replied: "I've never had it before, it's the sort of thing you actually dread, it was the first time I had actually been out with my kids in my car leaving London.
