Derek remains in hospital after being diagnosed with coronavirus in March of last year, as Kate brings up their two kids alone.While he has since recovered from the virus, it has left him with holes in his lungs and heart, as well as diabetes.Kate, 53, revealed in an interview that doctors told her Derek's infection was the "highest they had seen in a patient who had lived".But Kate remains upbeat and said she is hoping to see "some kind of trajectory of improvement".
