Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway's new family heartache is reported to have left her friends "seriously worried" about her.Thebreakfast TV star, 57, is currently on a break from the popular show, after her father Gordon was reportedly rushed to hospital following a suspected stroke and heart attack.
Kate left immediately after a live broadcast of the show in July to rush to her father’s side. Later, a source shared that Kate's dad was "stable" but his health problems had "given the whole family a terrible scare and they are praying he can recover" and he is still under medical care.
The distressing news of Kate’s dad’s ill health comes after the loss of Kate's husband, Derek Draper, back in January. Derek fell ill with coronavirus in March 2020, resulting in persistent damage to his organs.
After a four year battle, he passed away just six months ago. While Kate and her family are still undoubtedly struggling with their grief over Derek, they now have the added concerns over Kate’s dad’s condition.
