Kate Garraway's husband Derek Draper isn't in a 'good way' according to her co-star as she sent a message of support. Derek, a former Labour lobbyist, contracted coronavirus in March 2020 and was taken to the hospital where he was put in an induced coma.
He spent just over a year in the hospital before returning home to Kate and their children - Darcy and Billy - in April 2021 and has needed round-the-clock care ever since due to the damaging effects the virus had on his body.
Kate recently shared how Derek was in the hospital for planned treatment. However, reports which broke over the weekend suggested that Derek, 56, was taken dangerously ill last Monday (December 11) after suffering a 'massive heart attack', according to the Mirror. Now, Smooth FM Breakfast presenter Jenni Falconer appeared to give listeners an update as she sent a message of support to Kate.
