The presenter, 53, was on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday to speak with Ben Shephard and Susanna Reid about her documentary.

Finding Derek, which gives an intimate look and unflinching account of the profound effects the pandemic has had on her family, will air on ITV tonight.

Derek, also 53, was admitted to hospital at the end of March 2020 after suffering symptoms of the virus before being placed in an induced coma.
