Kate Garraway has revealed her husband Derek Draper activated a movement based on emotion for the first time since his health battles started from Covid-19.

Derek, 54, returned home in April 2021 after spending a year in hospital fighting for his life after contracting coronavirus in 2020, which has since left him battling a number of ongoing health issues.

While getting footage for her upcoming new ITV documentary Caring For Derek, which airs on 22 February evening, Kate noticed that Derek actively moved to hug their son.
