Kasper Schmeichel insists he is completely relaxed about his contract situation at Celtic amid the veteran stopper's flying start to life at Parkhead.Denmark star Schmeichel has kept 11 clean sheets in his first 19 appearances for the club in all competitions, including a superb display in the 0-0 draw away draw with Atalanta in the Champions League and a 3-0 demolition of Rangers at Parkhead in the first Old Firm derby of the season.
The 38-year-old penned a deal in the summer that will take him through to the end of the current season, with the option of an additional 12 months also included.
But the English Premier League winner says he is just focusing on the here and now and that no talks have taken place about his future beyond the end of the season.
Speaking to Danish outlet Tipsbladet, he said: "One thing at a time. It’s an option for another year, but we’ll decide at some point next year."Elsewhere, Neil Lennon has been tipped by his former player at Celtic Joe Ledley to become the next manager of Cardiff City.
