Should she win in her category (Best Actress in a Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy) at the event in January, she would become the first out trans performer to win in a top film acting category at the Globes.
She will compete against Amy Adams (Nightbitch), Cynthia Erivo (Wicked), Mikey Madison (Anora), Demi Moore (The Substance) and Zendaya (Challengers).
Pose’s Michaela Jaé Rodriguez won the Golden Globe for Best Television Actress in a Drama Series in 2022, marking the first time a trans actress had won a major award at the event.
