Kanye West is objecting to Kim Kardashian‘s request. The 44-year-old entertainer filed legal documents in response to the 41-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star’s petition to have a judge declare her single before settling custody and property issues, via TMZ. Click inside to read more… The issue resolution is set to happen early next month, but now Kanye‘s lawyer is objecting, according to the outlet.
His lawyer “seems to be worried Kim might remarry and move some of their assets to her separate accounts,” according to TMZ. Kanye also seems to agree with Kim‘s filing to be declared single, but only if safeguards are in place so the assets remain as marital property.
There are three conditions that Kanye wants, which Kim has reportedly rejected: “1. If either of them dies, he wants to make sure any money that might be owing to either gets reimbursed.
2. Kanye wants to block Kim from transferring assets out of any trust they created. 3. He wants Kim to waive their marital privilege pending a final custody decision.” He also wants to ensure any communications between the two can be part of the court records, and that if Kim remarries, she would waive any spousal privilege between her and her new husband.
