Kalvin Phillips has reportedly requested a move away from Manchester City this summer. The 28-year-old, who was named on the bench for their pre-season friendly against AC Milan on Saturday, spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham in search of regular game time.
Phillips returned to City at the end of the season and is now keen to depart the Etihad once again, but this time on a permanent transfer.
According to Football Insider, Phillips has asked to leave City having struggled to settle since his big-money move from Leeds two years ago.
It's added that City have been looking for another loan for him ahead of the 2024/25 season, but the player would prefer a permanent switch.
