Justin Baldoni is dragging Colleen Hoover into his legal fight against Blake Lively!

In his $400 million countersuit against Blake, Ryan Reynolds, and more on her team, Justin shares emails sent between him and the book’s author — seemingly trying to claim he was the perfect person to make the movie but that Blake’s “difficult” personality ruined it all. Related: Nick Viall Explains The REAL Reason He’s Team Blake Lively  In his lawsuit, which was filed last week, he explains that he was moved by It Ends With Us and wanted to turn it into a film to help “save lives.” In 2019, he started messaging the author about his thoughts and the possibility of his production company Wayfarer Studios acquiring the rights.

His first email to Colleen was sent on February 1, 2019. In it, he talked about the “purpose and intention” behind his company — making films that create positive change in the world.

He also shared a review of IEWU and gushed about being eager to read the story, writing: He obviously didn’t realize it at the time, but this kinda reads like a dig at Blake now — considering she reportedly didn’t bother to read the book!
