Justin Baldoni‘s legal team is speaking out against Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds‘ attempt to access his phone records, writing in a letter to a judge that the pair “are not the FBI.” This week, the 37-year-old actress subpoenaed multiple cell carriers in an attempt to access more of Justin‘s communications.
They alleged that they were looking for more “receipts” of poor behavior amid the group’s extended legal battle. On Friday (February 14), Justin‘s layers filed a letter with U.S.
District Judge Lewis J. Liman and asked the him to shut down the subpoena request, which they described as “flagrantly overbroad.” Keep reading to find out more… “It is hard to overstate how broad, invasive, and atypical these Subpoenas truly are,” his team wrote, according to People. “This is civil litigation, not a criminal prosecution, and the Lively Parties [Lively and Reynolds] are not the FBI.” His team alleged that the subpoena would provide Blake and Ryan‘s team with more than just phone calls and text messages.
It would also give them access to “location data, web browser history and legally protected information.” They said that the motion is “wildly disproportionate to the needs of the case and unnecessarily invades the privacy of untold numbers of third parties, including family, friends, business partners, and — quite literally — any other person with whom any of the targets have communicated with over a period of years.” A spokesperson for Blake addressed the movie in a statement shared with the outlet. “If they have so many receipts why are they so afraid to produce them,” they said. “Mr.
