Julian Nagelsmann has been sacked by Bayern Munich less than three weeks before they face Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-finals.

Back-to-back wins against Paris Saint-Germain both home and away saw them progress into the last-eight of the Champions League in February, but with a crucial month to follow after players return from representing their countries, those in charge at the Bavarian club have taken swift action.
