Judi Love has praised Melanie C for being open about her mental health struggles - saying many in the world of showbusiness suffer silently.The 42 year old praised the former Spice Girls singer after she recently published her debut memoir, Who I Am, in which she opens up on the pitfalls of fame.

Writing in her exclusive OK! column, the Loose Women panellist said: "Melanie C has been so open about the mental health problems she has dealt with since finding fame in her new autobiography. "I think it’s so important for people to be honest about what they’re experiencing. "I think there are a lot of people in the industry who suffer with their mental health.There is a lot of pressure and expectation." Judi explained that showbiz was not always glossy red carpets, writing: "People don’t see that you’re up every day at six o’clock, doing three jobs in one, people just see glamorous Instagram posts and none of the stuff that goes on behind it. "Younger generations look up to these people and want to follow in their footsteps but they need to understand how to take care of their mental health and how to find the right manager and agent to have that inner circle to support them." Discussing her own life story, Judi added: "I’ve already started writing for my autobiography but I don’t think I’ll tell my story anytime soon.

Hopefully you’ll all be able to read it one day..." Melanie, 48, admits in her book that she was afraid she would take her own life at the height of the Spice Girls' fame.
