Judge declares Kim Kardashian legally single after Kanye fires lawyer

Kanye West. Kanye's new lawyer of less than a day did not object to the judge restoring Kim's single status.The "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star attended the hearing via a video call, TMZ reported, but Kanye was MIA, which was somewhat expected.

Kanye did score one small win. A judge granted the rapper's request that in the event that either of them dies, any right to get reimbursement of money that's supposed to be divided up will be preserved.The judge, though, rejected Ye's request that Kim be forbidden from transferring any assets she had in a family trust.

Wednesday's hearing came just hours after Ye fired his latest divorce attorney and hired a new one. Since Kim filed for divorce in February 2021, Kanye, who is also now single, has had four divorce lawyers.

According to TMZ, Kanye often goes back and forth about his relationship with Kim. One day he wanted a divorce, the report said, but the next day he wanted to fight for his family.
