Winger Jota has explained his reasons behind leaving Celtic for a move to Al-Ittihad. The Portuguese star is looking to kick-start his career with Stade Rennes with reports in France suggesting he accepting a massive £7million-per-year wage drop to seal the move to Ligue 1 - with Jota said to now be receiving a more modest £2.5million-per-year.
But after making his debut for Rennes in the 3-0 victory over Montpellier, the forward once again faced questions over his call to leave Celtic in the summer of 2023.
