Josie Gibson 'signs up for I'm A Celeb' after 'bidding war' between ITV and BBC
dailyrecord.co.ukIt’s been reported that This Morning host Josie Gibson has signed up for the new series of I’m a Celeb. Bosses from the ITV reality show - set in the Australian jungle - were said to be keen to get her on board as BBC chiefs were also interested.
The Sun reports former Big Brother winner Josie has been offered a six-figure deal to take part. And it’s only the biggest names at the channel who are reportedly offered such big bucks contracts, showing that ITV wanted to ensure they won the bidding war over one of their rising stars, 38.An ITV insider said: "Josie is hugely popular with This Morning viewers and producers were determined to get her."The source added that Josie is "seen as the perfect person for the jungle," and said she is "incredibly down to earth”.They went on: "For all those reasons they were hellbent on getting her.
And if she was lured by the glitter of Strictly they weren’t going to let her go without a fight."It’s reported that Josie was unsure which network to go with and took months to decide.
She rose to fame on the 2010 series of Big Brother where she was crowned winner before going straight back in for the Ultimate Big Brother series.
