Josh Taylor calls for Jack Catterall trilogy as Scotland star eyes conclusive end to bitter boxing rivalry

Josh Taylor has called for Jack Catterall to face him in the ring for a third time so they can put an end to their bitter boxing feud once and for all.Englishman Catterall got his revenge against the former undisputed super-lightweight world champion by outpointing Taylor in Leeds back in May, two years on after controversially losing a split decision to the Scot at the Hydro in Glasgow.

Catterall is on the cusp of landing another world title shot after defeating ex world champion Regis Prograis last month, with promoter Eddie Hearn working hard to get his man in position.But 2014 Commonwealth Games gold medalist Taylor - who has recently faced calls to retire from the sport - firmly believes the demand is there for a trilogy with Catterall.

Speaking to BBC 5 Live, he said: "I think the appetite would be there because the second fight was actually a good fight, believe it or not.

The first one was a stinker but the second fight was actually a really good, competitive fight. I think there would be appetite for a third one because it's one apiece now. "So lets have a decider and see what's happening.
