Josh Doig's transfer path to Rangers is set to be cleared with Ridvan Yilmaz set to "arrive' in Verona before the end of the window.Philippe Clement has been linked with a move for ex-Hibs starlet Doig, who has impressed in Serie A since making the move from the capital.
With Borna Barisic out of contract this summer, Clement could be in need of a new first choice left back and Doig seems to fit the bill at Ibrox.However, Verona require a replacement before he'll be allowed to leave and a swap deal for Yilmaz including some cash heading Verona's way, appears to be in the offing.
And that arrangement could have taken a step towards happening with Italian journalist Gianluca Do Marzio claiming that Yilmaz will check in at the Bentegodi Stadium before January is out.
The Turk arrived for £5million under Gio van Bronckhorst as the Light Blues reinvested a chunk of the £19m Ajax paid them for Calvin Bassey.But injury and indifferent performances have seen Yilmaz spend most of his time on the bench or in the stand.
