Jonny Evans is on the brink of penning a new deal as Leicester plan for the future at their new £100million training ground.
Northern Ireland defender and former Manchester United trainee Evans, 32, is out of contract next summer. But the Foxes are close to keeping him on fresh terms after his consistent displays since joining from West Brom in June 2018 for a bargain £3.5million.
City boss Brendan Rodgers said: "I'm hearing from the club it's pretty close. "So we're very hopeful that, very soon, we'll be able to finalise that deal. “If it's this year, that's great, if not, it'll be very early in the New Year."
