SCOTS endurance ace Jonny Adam’s outstanding performance ensured double podium success at the weekend.He steered his Garage 59 Aston Martin Vantage home to second place in the Pro-Am class in first incident-filled race of the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup event.Then, despite it being the Fife flyer’s first visit to Misano in Italy, he claimed the outright pole position in qualifying for the second encounter – a first for a Pro-Am runner in the series.Adam then took command of the contest from the start, creating a comfort gap from the chasing pack until he pitted to let team-mate Alexander West take the wheel.And West kept his cool under intense pressure from a rival Mercedes to claim Pro-Am victory by just one thousandth of a second.
