Jonnie Irwin has been flooded with support after updating his fans on his 'mistake' amid his battle with terminal cancer. The TV presenter, who is best known for fronting Channel 4's A Place In The Sun and BBC's Escape to the Country, shared the devastating news that he had been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in November last year.

The 49-year-old shared at the time that his lung cancer had spread to his brain and that he 'doesn't know' how long he has left to live.

He revealed the first warning sign of his illness came while he was filming A Place in the Sun in August 2020 in Italy, when his vision became blurry while driving.

Taking to his Instagram on Tuesday (October 25), Jonnie told his followers that he had made a mistake on his return to work.
