David Robert Joseph Beckham OBE (born 2 May 1975) is an English former professional footballer, the current president of Inter Miami CF and co-owner of Salford City. He played for Manchester United, Preston North End, Real Madrid, Milan, LA Galaxy, Paris Saint-Germain and the England national team, for which he held the appearance record for an outfield player until 2016. He is the first English player to win league titles in four countries: England, Spain, the United States and France. He retired in May 2013 after a 20-year career, during which he won 19 major trophies.

Cristiano Ronaldo fans reckon Lionel Messi is about to join the Manchester United favourite in Saudi Arabia next season after his Paris Saint-Germain departure was formalised.

Messi won the World Cup with Argentina this winter, but his time with PSG will, seemingly, end on a sour note as speculation over what happens next gathers pace.

Barcelona and MLS franchise Inter Miami - which is part owned by David Beckham - are thought to be interested in him. However, as things stand, a jaw-dropping offer from Al-Hilal appears to be the best bet and that would, of course, see Messi renew his rivalry with Ronaldo.
