On day two of Depp’s libel trial against The Sun’s publisher News Group Newspapers, NGN’s lawyer Sasha Wass QC brought up an alleged incident in a trailer park in Hicksville, California, in June 2013.The alleged incident us one of 14 allegations of domestic violence NGN relies on as part of its defence to Mr Depp’s claim.Depp is suing NGN over an April 2018 column from The Sun’s executive editor Dan Wootton, which referred to the actor as a ‘wife beater’.Depp denies all allegations of abuse.
