Depp, 57, was seen wearing a navy suit and black and white face mask as he headed into the buidling. His ex-wife Heard arrived shortly afterwards, wearing all black with a red face covering.
She was seen holding hands with her friend Bianca Butti as she walked into court. The actor is suing News Group Newspapers over a story published in The Sun in 2018 which branded him a 'wife beater'.
It relates to allegations from Depp's ex-wife Amber Heard, 34, who claims the actor was violent towards her - which he denies.
