Former Manchester United right-back John O'Kane has opened up on how he knew he was different in some way to the rest of his team-mates when he was looking to make the grade at Old Trafford.
O'Kane, who is now 46, started his professional career at United in 1990 and looked set to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Paul Scholes, David Beckham and Gary Neville and become a Reds legend.
However, the Nottingham-born former defender left the club after making just seven appearances under the watch of former United chief Sir Alex Ferguson.
After spells with Everton, Bolton Wanderers and Blackpool, O'Kane ended up at non-league outfit Hyde United, retiring in 2006.
