John Higgins admits his emotions got the better of him after pulling off one of the all-time great World Snooker Championship Houdini acts against Mark Allen.
The Scottish sporting legend was staring down the barrel of a last 16 defeat to the Irishman in one of the best matches of this years Championships so far.
It went all the way to a 25th frame and locked at 12-12, Allen went 62 points up in the decider and looked as if he was about to fall over the line.
But he surprisingly missed a red to allow Higgins to the table, and after the Scot pulled off a signature double, he held it together for an incredible clearance to nick the frame 64-62.It was an historic night at the Crucible and Higgins' remarkable win keeps him in the top 16 going into next season.
