Classy John Higgins showed off his sportsmanship by calling a foul on himself during his Tour Championship match against Mark Allen on Sunday afternoon.
The Wizard of Wishaw was playing in Manchester, where players were competing for a total prize fund of £500,000.Higgins is known as one of the greatest snooker players ever, with the Scot ranking third in terms of players with the most titles.
He has 31 to his name, a number that could increase if he wins this week's Tour Championship. But, Higgins put his own success at risk during the last-16 match against Allen by telling the referee about a foul he'd made.
This happened in the fifth frame when Higgins accidentally hit the white ball twice while taking a safety shot.It wasn't immediately obvious that Higgins had hit the white ball twice, making it a hard foul for the referee to notice.
