The annual John Hartson Foundation 'Grab Life By the Balls' golf event was held today and many famous faces of the sporting world turned out to raise funds for a great cause.
John Hartson, Johan Mjällby, Frank McAvennie and Simon Donnelly are just some of the sportsmen to turn out at Turnberry today to swing their clubs for charity.The 10th anniversary golf event was supposed to be held in 2020 but had to be postponed due to the pandemic, and today it finally happened.The Foundation took to Twitter to thank everyone for turning out on the day.
They wrote: "Evening all, we’d like to say a MASSIVE thank you to all who came & of course our fantastic sponsors. You truly are our #HartsonHeroes & without you none of this would be possible - Thank You!
Now for a well earned rest after a hard day of golf." The Grab Life by the Balls events have raised £1m since they began. Speaking about his cancer journey, John previously said: "It wasn’t until I started suffering the most horrendous headaches that I went to see my GP and mentioned the lumps.
